On August 29th 2025 the United States removed the 800 USD de minimis
exemption for all international import shipments. Prior to this date goods shipments valued below 800 USD could
be imported duty free. Now all shipments entering the United States from the UK are subject to import duties and
clearance charges, regardless of value. The new import duty tariff starts at a flat rate of 10% of the goods value.
Additional sectorial tariffs may also apply as well as clearance fees payable to the USPS or courier service used
for shipment. In summary you should expect a minimum customs charge of 10% to be added to the value of any order
for delivery to the United States. The total US customs charge will be invoiced to American customers separately.
The invoice for the US customs charge must be paid before the order ships. The shipper will then pay the charge
to US customs during clearance upon entry to the United States and the order will be delivered without any further
delay or payment being neccessary.
